I don’t understand why. They had to dig the holes and pour the concrete anyway. Just make the deck extend another foot and have the supports go straight down. It would have been easier. Did they pour the concrete in the wrong place and just not want to jackhammer it out and start over?
 
I used to live down the street from the Chicago leather museum and I figured it was unlikely someone would go in without knowing what they were getting into, but I always wondered if anyone had this sort of experience there.

Before it was called "Excaliber" the giant gothic bar in Chicago was called "The Limelight" and some of my friends referred to it as the "Weirdlight".

I remember being in the building, going to all the bars on all of the different levels including the crows nest waaaay above the dancefloor, and I thought they were all just nuts... I thought the place was great....

But then I wandered into the side club...

... there were all kinds of people in drag, shadow dancers behind lit screens, performance art in cages.... "Aaaahhh...okay. I get it now." :helper: :baimun:
