Alverez/Line6 remake - new mic, speaker, noise problem fixed, new camera, ... Happy!

Here's an update - after leaving this thread alone for a long time...

I recently provided a thread on Drudge.com, The Best Guitar Ever Built! (Wife and Times In Jesus Christ)</a> highlighting these "Power Guitars". Perhapse that's a quicker summary than wading through this thread or having a new one. Meanwhile, ...

The key guitar update relevant here IMHO wort a bump is the Alvarez/Line6.

IMHO locks work well for old threads.

I never said these were "inventions". I have over a dozen patents for real inventions. I only wanted a guitar with an amp in it - and couldn't buy one. Built one, loved it, built another. No amount of hate cancels that joy.

Well, most everyone is thankful of that.

As far as I can see, two people both think that they have 'inventions'...there have been plenty of guitars with amps and speakers built in and there have been plenty of chambered solid body guitars. Two non-inventors doing their THANGS.

I realize bumping this thread is a crime against humanity but I just read the whole thing and it was great. Some actually cool stuff, tons of trolling, and some probably legitimate mental problems. :grin: But I think reitze got in a little too deep.

Let's have a moment of silence for the crazy bastard who's probably being dismembered by John Watt on a moving electric bicycle to the accompaniment of a four-piece jazz trio playing unplugged powered guitars.

Seriously, nothing wrong with encouraging a special person to follow their dream of running around their yard playing an amplified guitar. And some of them look kinda cool.

To be honest, I get tired of him debating people and not listening to folks who have much more experience than he does. He just wants to cram his half baked theories down everyones throats. We all have wacky ideas sometimes but he'll take an idea with no basis in fact or real world experience and argue with professional musicians or even really well experienced hobby players until the cows come home.

I have instruments I like and have shared the experience... and seem to have communications problems... THAT's why I play guitar.
