i think they achieved what they wanted.

bass forum is the same way. there's no-one there. they chased out all the riffraff, aired the place out, and have all new members who talk about on-topic stuff like basses and amps.

I stopped posting when you had to opt-in. It was already about dead and was mostly trolls trolling one another. I am sure others gave up on it at that point as well.
