Couch Tour 2015

I know @Flamencology hates MMW, but hot damn, what a show. Chris Wood is easily my favorite bassist and Billy Martin is playing a 4 piece with a hi-hat and ride, and they're absolutely KILLING IT. Medeski is his normally amazing self and Scofield is kind of an afterthought.
 


I went to see Kowloon Walled City at St. Vitus in Brooklyn instead of hauling to my buddy Gabe's house in Jersey to see this. KWC was fun and I'm glad I went. This show is honest, uneven, and Lo takes a lot of chances in front of an intimate crowd. I've watched and listened to it more times last year than I can count.

Benny, who recorded the audio for the show, says, "this is not church people. Well, it kinda is..." That kid came to GSW late and for many of us, he just has no idea. Truer words and all that. Anyway, I hope you like it.

I missed the Bill Frisell stream from Lincoln Center the other night, so here's his Montreal Jazz Fest show from '02. The Telecaster with the Jaguar neck definitely has me thinking.



Also, www.livestream.com is apparently another good resource like Yahoo Screen.
