cats crack me up

Our cat disappeared from our backyard last Saturday morning. We let her out like we always do and she lays under the shrubs and watches the birds. I went out to get her a while later and she was gone.
The yard has block wall fences and the gate has a gap no larger than an inch for her to squeeze through. I'd just clipped her claws and probably has never climbed a tree. She either managed to climb her first tree and jump over the fence, which I hope is the case, or a coyote jumped the fence and grabbed her. She's chipped and was wearing a collar. I've searched for her day and night, put ads everywhere and flyers on mailboxes for miles around. I sure hope she comes back, my little girl is beside herself. The cat was her first pet and she misses her terribly.

Cute kitty! I hope she turns up safe and sound soon.

I got a call this morning. Someone in the neighborhood found our cat in the yard of the house next door to hers. She just brought our cat home and we couldn't be happier. She's skittish and thirsty and a little thin, but she hasn't stopped purring since she got back. My Wife saw a coyote on our street just yesterday and we just assumed that where she'd gone, but we got lucky.
