You know, I've been meaning to look into replacement cables for my G50. Do you have a model number on the Shure cable that works with it?joeboy is correct - the G50 up models have a ta4f connector. this is like a mini version of an XLR (but with 4pins). its locking too which is nice. People complain that they're "proprietary" but they're not. I had some cables custom made from Lava Cables for my strap, and tossed the stock cable in my bag as an emergency backup but even then I don't trust it (its pretty crappy). Shure makes a stock cable (<$20) available in retail stores (GC, etc) and online for those not looking to go custom route.
Grassy-ass.Shure (lol, pun intended). The part is Shure WA302. linky:

(if you need a right angle, check out the WA304)

Absolutely. I got Zzounds to match that price THEN I paid monthly for four months.I've read reviews that mention the dropout problem and the battery door issue, but more reviews rave about it. Hmmmmmm. I'm finding the G50 to be about $325 new. Might be worth it.
OK, I won a G50 last night for $275 shipped. Guy says it's basically mint, only used twice in his studio. Not sure why you're running wireless in your studio, but hey, I'm feeling trusting (read gullible). Anyhow, I'll post when it gets here.
