I post this thread and a few days later, my oldest daughter is in a tiff with her roommate (who is overstepping her bounds, trying to "mother" my daughter throwing away food that she deems unhealthy, criticizing her life choices, etc) and said roommate posted the following facebook status:

I love how my husband understands me and see my efforts when other are to dumb too.

Makes me want to call her out to at least grammar check her statements before proclaiming her intellectual superiority over someone else... but that's stooping to her level.
