You Weren't There

Had tickets for Zappa in Manchester on the tour he cancelled after getting injured at the Rainbow. :(

Iron Maiden,Dio,and Motorhead in Philly.
I had tickets, but was laid up in hospital getting stents put in an artery.
The bitch of it was the hospital was about 2 miles from the venue.

the Animals tour, summer 1977, Madison Square Garden.
a buddy had tickets, but i couldn't get 'leave' from the USAF.

I had my license at the time, couldn't find any tickets anywhere.

Dunno. I guess either Band of Gypsys or a Hank Williams show. I could have seen Nina Simone in Austin but didn't, so that's one I regret.

I could have seen Stevie Ray Vaughan in the Armadillo World Headquarters when he was still just a regional guy. It was a Sunday and I had an exam that Monday, so I made the adult decision, but still.

Speaking of the 'Dillo, I missed a chance to see Zappa there too before they closed it down.

Being local, I saw SRV at clubs in Houston and Austin numerous times. I think the total number of times I saw him live is like 8 or 9.

Robin Trower was in Houston last year and I never heard about it until afterward. I would absolutely have gone.

A few months ago Bryan Cranston appeared at a small theater in Albuquerque as a promotional event for his new book. It sounded like fun but I didn't care enough to buy a ticket. The next day the Albuquerque Journal reported that Bob Odenkirk hosted the event, and Vince Gilligan, Aaron Paul, Jonathan Banks, Rhea Seehorn, Gincarlo Esposito, and Steven Michael Quezada were all there.

D'OH.
