I was thinking of the Count Rossi 917 that inexplicably got Alabama plates as an antique vehicle and was then driven all over France and Germany for years. And the truly bonkers part is the Rossi 917 wasn't the only steet legal 917.

I mean honestly, can you even imagine? Fucking hell.

yea, especially with the way they run. there are several videos on youtube of them being driven on race tracks by actual race drivers, but ones that have never driven a 917 before, and the drivers are explicity told that the gas pedal is either all the way down or all the way up.....no throttling in between or they won't run right.
