You buying anything in preparation of tariffs?

If you need an excuse to pull the trigger, impending taxes on Chinese-made gear is as good as any. I'm not playing out in the immediate future, so I'm sitting tight.

I use Musicily parts and they sent an email letting people know what they face in pricing. Their parts work but now and then a piece will come and get through inspection not working lome it should. Had a set of locking tuner come with a stripped lock. I contacted the company rep through their Facebook page, explained and set a short video of the issue and the next they sent me a new set of tuners from China. When this bullshit dies down I’ll continue using them but until then will wait.

Went ahead and helped my ex buy a new car to replace her old 2007 Saturn Vue.
We are still friends but just can live together without driving each other insane, and I want her to be safe on he road.
The local honest and experienced mechanic that was keeping it going just retired.
I'll turn 68 in a week and she's 70. We are both too old to break down in the middle of nowhere.
With tariffs on the horizon it had to be done.

As far as gear goes I need to unload some stuff as well. Not a financial thing stuff is just piled up getting in the way and nor getting used often enough.
Hoping my excess gear might be worth a little more is about the only positive thing I can think of in all this.

I bought a 13" iPad Pro to use for work stuff. I don’t need anything else right now. Especially after I bought myself two basses and an amp last year.

I bought a Boss GX-10. And I should have bought some produce. Most of the produce department at Aldi was empty yesterday. It was like covid all over again.

I bought three individual first aid kits, one for each car & one for MC adventures. If we learned anything during the pandemic, all that kind of stuff is made elsewhere. The place I got them from was conveniently having a sale the other month before the tariff roller coaster let lose.
