After a few years of playing nothing but acoustic, a month or so ago I bought a Neural Nano Cortex (damn modeling has come a long way since the Line 6 Pod kidney bean).

Anyway, found this at a local pawn shop for next to nothing, and even though I needed another guitar (especially a Wolfgang) like I needed another hole in my head), I haggled it down to a price I couldn't refuse.

It's made in Mexico. Has a couple of tiny little scuffs in the clear coat, but it plays and sounds great.

Maybe not on quite the same level as the Peaveys, but not too far off, and was a fraction of the cost.

Happy New Headstock Bottle Opener! Whoopsie, I mean, Happy New Wolfgang Day!
Yeah, the Peavey headstock is infinitely better looking than the EVH.

The Peavey necks in general feel better than the EVH, but some of that has to do with the fact that they have soaked up my oil and sweat for 20+ years.

I will say, the pickups in the EVH may sound a tad better to my ears. It could just be that they sound a tad different to my ears, though.

All in all, the Peaveys are hands down better guitars than the EVH, but again, they both cost way more (even in 1998 and 2001) than the EVH did.

The headstock on your new Wolfgang is fine. The fact that it looks like a bottle opener makes me think of beer bottles, a happy thought.
