WTF is wrong with learning to use brushes and more subtle percussion techniques?
Seems to me it would be a good skill to have if you actually wanna get gigs in these days of in-ears, low stage volumes, and small room acoustic work.
Is tasteful traditional country and jazz drumming a lost art?
Just ranting because Ive been looking for such a person forever.
Yes, there's the rare few who can but they are real PROs who already have more work than they can manage with studio work and playing in multiple bands already.
All I can find is guys who can't hit anything less than hard as they fking can.
