I don’t trust exclusively solo guitarists who pull an orchestra out of one instrument. Sure it’s an amazing feat but I always suspect it was born of necessity, that they are so antisocial no one wants to play with them.

Literally stopped in at 1 minute myself. Can't imagine being able to play it, while also having zero desire to do so. Bigger picture is I can't imagine developing that technique, and if I did hopefully I'd play something cooler. I don't what that cooler stuff would be, but definitely something that I liked.

Yes. Any instrument. I can appreciate brilliant playing, but i prefer to listen to melodic playing. And it also depends on the artist. I love listening to Yvette Young playing guitar, but her playing tends towards excess at times. Not sure why I like her playing, but I do.

That's just an edgy location (multiple at that) performance video from what I can tell...I don't think he's playing that piece in that type of cold. It seems unlikely that their getting that sound from any mics and the guitar certainly isn't plugged in.
