I not only try to cook as much of my food, but grow it as well.
do you raise chickens? (would be the obvious question)

This is me, but it was a stark contrast 6 months ago. My girlfriend likes to cook, so we cook together now. It's nice, actually. Before that, I would get takeout or make frozen pizza.
I've got two dozen (minus the Fox's share, I haven't counted them since I bought them) that I'll butcher in two or three weeks.do you raise chickens? (would be the obvious question)

My wife cooked for a living for 25+ years. My only issue is that she tends to cook for 10 people, but it's just us 2 plus our 21 y/o who is hardly ever home. Guarantees that I have plenty of leftovers for work lunches though.
I see no issue here
I should send you my monthly grocery bill then. Would you like some leftovers?
I don't mind a big grocery bill. As long as you're not being super wasteful, it's cheaper in the long run than eating out all the time.
The raccoons and skunks seem to benefit from Friday Fridge clean-out day

I'm single, but still cook most of my meals.
I go out a few times a month for stuff I don't feel like cooking ,such as Indian food.
For me, it's not worth the hassle. There is me, my wife and 2 kids. None of us like the same things. When I cook dinner, I basically make 4 separate meals. A giant pain in the ass, but I do it 4 or 5 times a week.
When it comes to feeding kids, when they get hungry enough, they’ll eat what ever you provide. Not sure if this works with wifes. Good luck.
That's my house too. My kids are weird. They don't eat any of the normal kid friendly items most families can get away with. For me, it's not worth the hassle. There is me, my wife and 2 kids. It's mainly the cost of ingredients I don't have on hand that keeps me from cooking Indian.A lot of indian stuff is kind of footery due to the ingredients but currys, dhals etc... are pretty easy and quick for the most part.
