Question: Which Switch For Coil Split?

i love it. both my Ibanez and PRS have series parallel switching on each pickup. course, i hate single coil hum, so that's what i went with.

but in your case, i would go with the option to choose which coil to split to. that sounds more your thing.

I think I like choosing north, south or humbucker.
This needs a DPDT switch, I believe.

Now to figure out how to wire that.

Next dumb question...on the mini switch diagrams, how do I know which end is which? Or does it matter?

Do you mean you want to choose north or south coil on each individual humbucker?
 
OK, quit making things complicated... All this circuit does is choose which coil to short out... Do you see how th middle position shorts out nothing (off middle position of switch), and how shorting the north coil leaves you the south coil, and vice versa? This is a single pole on-off-on switch...

The three way switch handles pickup selection.
For the mini toggles, switching from humbucker to inner coil to outer coil is what I'm after.

I think that's it. Center gives me humbucker while up or down gives me one single coil or the other on one pickup? I'll use one of these for each pickup.

So, ya got her wired, yet? I've decided to rewire my Les Paul to one volume and tone control, which is going to leave two holes to fill, so I'm gonna give HIAR's suggestion a try, humbucker/parallel/split... I haven't yet tried the parallel option with humbuckers, so this will be a cool experiment, at least...

Wired? I haven't even ordered the switches yet!
Plus, I need more hookup wire.
And more solder.
And a brain.
