Trapper John stole BJ Honeycutt's beanie. Hawkeye Pierce, as usual is flaunting his aversion to regular Army regs by growing out his beard.

I just got one of these on sale at REI. Patagonia never has sales.

I have one of those in a half zip pull over, got it the first year they came out back in 2009 I think it was. The first time I wore it was on a camping trip and I accidentally burned a small hole on the bottom left wrist someone on my lantern when I was drunk and climbing into the back of my pick up (camper shell) because it was snowing and I wanted to lay down . Anyway I patched a piece of Nylan from an old hat on it with some cement glue and the jacket (and patch) is still going strong.

Yeah, all the think piece outlets were lamenting the hipster 3+ years ago.

ok I didn't read the article but werds are useful I'm sure you would agree, right? So if they aren't hipsters what do we call those who jump on the latest trend and are then quick to abandon it once it becomes popular and then they are on to the next trend>

hipsters have been around since day 1 and they always will be....tamato / tamahto *spits*

They all look kinda meh to me. Also, those don't look like hipsters. Especially the middle one looks like a suburban yuppie trying way too hard to be cool.

That would be stretching a term beyond accepted usage to the point where shit becomes different to understand.

The capital H “Hipster” as it became a thing in the ‘00s was a specific—though difficult, at times, to define—cluster of behaviors, sensibilities, etc. Hipsters weren’t hippies, obviously. Nor were they metal dudes or hip hop heads or frat bros.

We’re not just talking trend jumpers but a specific sub-sub-culture of retro-mad, urban dilettantes.
