Which National Park would you choose?

Flamencology

You don't deserve koa.
Let’s say that the new emperor has foolishly taken a liking to you and wants you to have a National Park to enjoy. You can have any National Park you like. Be aware that the emperor does not care for nature, so you needn’t worry about overstepping. Please also be aware that the emperor would take it very personally (and very badly) if you refused this generous gift, even if your refusal was intended as a show of humility. The emperor would be very hurt and offended, and your loved ones would be spend the rest of their lives being tortured.

Go ahead. Choose. And explain your decision. Before it’s too late.

this was a tough decision - I have soft spots for and plenty o' fond memories of both Joshua Tree and Grand Teton, but I think I have to go with Banff; it was pretty formative in my love of mountains, trees, and getting outside in general. (I'm assuming this is an emperor of the world, not just my current nation)

If I could take the national forest in Puerto Rico, definitely that. Otherwise maybe Mammoth. I'd get the land above it and not just the hole, right?

Since DKH isn’t here too often I’ll take the most Chicago option and choose Pullman.

But Weiner Circle should be a national park.

I'd take Yosemite. I'd build a big fence around it and keep everyone out for 40 years minimum so it could recover.

Although I have not yet been I think I might go with Yellowstone. It has forest and beautiful scenery, lots of space and wildlife and of course is a great big fucking supervolcano that could destroy civilization

So it's got that going for it

My initial response was going to be Yosemite, but I've camped there multiple times so I'll pick somewhere I haven't been. Maybe Yellowstone or somewhere in Utah like Bryce Canyon or Zion.

Yellowstone. It's beautiful, huge, and has a buncha weird shit you can't find just anywhere.

I'm going to Glacier this summer, so that might take the cake. I went to a bunch of the Utah ones last year, and they were beautiful, but I wouldn't want to liver in the desert. Sorry new emperor, and also sorry ddbob.

definitely would have to be one of the Utah ones. That is the most beautiful country. Bryce/Zion ...Canyonlands, Arches.

Death Valley would be another choice

The desert ain't for everyone but when it get in yer blood....boy oh boy

Yabba's left Joshua Tree on the table and gone for a presumptuous Canadian play. I'm snatching it up right now before anyone else claims it.

Virgin Islands would be pretty cool, or Big Bend so I could hang out in Terlingua.
