Where is the freakin MLB playoffs thread?

Interesting series coming up with NY and Houston. I hope the Astros play to their potential.

Good to see Nats and cubs going to 5 games, tonight should be interesting.

One result that must be avoided at all costs - a cubs/yanks world series would be the ultimate evil. I don't even want to think about it.

Even the 'Stros just play at their level, the Yanks will be lucky to win a game or two. That said, the Yanks keep finding ways to win despite poor performances from their top guys...or those players come back with a vengeance.

I'm still pulling for a Nats & Yanks series. Again, the Nats look like they could actually do it. For the Yanks to even get to Series wold be a huge upset, but proportionately small to that should they actually win the World Series.

Mainly, I'm just happy for more free Yankees and Nats games. Tonight should be awesome in DC...wish I had tickets.

yea....i think the NBA started that.

Nope, footie had the back acting, I'm dying, my career is over, my life is over...oh, I'm okay now that the penalty is called or we'll be called for one if I don't get my ass up (did I take enough time off the clock to make the go slower and less scoring) routine down well before the flop. The NBA flop is quick and easy and sometimes the flopper gets T for being a dick...unless they're Reggie Miller. The fucker got every call against the Knicks and he was the worst offender in the history of sports.

Go YANKS.

Suck it bitches!!!

Again, they aren't winning anything, but you haters can suck a bag of things you don't want to suck! Or eat the contents of said bag.

Haters can go suck a Dodger Dog.

I know this isn't an authentic graphic, but ESPN are biased as hell towards the Red Sox, Pats, Celts, and Bruins. And when those teams aren't any good, and even when they are dominating, ESPN never fails to shit on the Yanks, Knicks (easy target), and Giants. They can't really do anything about the Rangers being a continually solid organization. Connecticut isn't really a Yankees state....especially since 2004.

That said, the appreciation of Yankees is global as well as as national phenomenon. That interlocking NY is everywhere...and not that orange and royal blue eyesore. :thu:

The only people who like the Mets are Mets fans. And even then, it's mostly a form of self loathing.

The only time the rest of the country gives a shit about the yankees is when they play the red sox. get over it.

Saying ESPN is biased towards Boston teams is outlandish, and would get you laughed out of that city.

ESPN worships the size of the NY media market. All of their 'personalities' live there. And ESPN and Boston fans have gone from disliking each other to outright spite since Chris Mortensen reported the accusations of the drunken Colts owner as the findings of the NFL, then cancelled his appearance on Boston radio at the last minute when he heard he'd have to defend sticking by his story even though he knew it was incorrect.

Please. At least get facts straight.

I was never under it. I grew up watching and loving the winningest team in the history of professional sports. The Nazi's and Japanese used to taunt U.S. soldiers about Ruth, DiMaggio, and others...insulting them to rile the troops. Ridiculous, but true. Baseball isn't as prominent a game without the Yankees...that's just the way it is.

Why would I care about Boston's perception of ESPN?

Things may have changed in the last 10 plus years, but for decades they, like the NY Post had an underlying hatred/jealousy of the Yankees...even when they weren't winning anything. The anti-NY thing is their editorial lean. And it plays in NY, because NY sports give way too much of a shit about their sports...like Boston. For me, it's just another form of entertainment...the closest thing to "real" reality TV.

And Boston...those fools, during the victory parade after the Pats won their first Bowl w/ Brady, actually broke down into a "Yankees SUCK!" chant. Wrong sport and their freaking team just won the Super Bowl. Idiots. It's really pathetic. My concern about the Red Sox lasts as long as when they are playing against the Yanks, and only if I'm watching, and even then, I'm rooting for the Yanks, not against anyone else.

Shit, I gotta get back to work. It's all good.
