What's the longest time you've had a guitar cord last?

Honkridge

UNACCEPTABLE!
I had an old Radio Shack gray ten footer with right angle molded rubber ends last for 15 years before it crapped out. Nowadays even Monster and Mogami don't make it em like that...

*spits*

I've got some that go back to the late 1990s. Others that didn't last more that a year or two after purchase.

One of my cables was hanging out the back of my car after rehearsal and the one end got drug down the road for a couple miles...still have it and it still works fine cause the tip itself didn't suffer much damage

I’ve got some tha have got to be 10 to 15 years old.

Hell, I had a freebie cable from Reverb that I used all the time for years and it lasted about 12 years.

I have two 6ft guitar cables that have lasted 35 years. They were made by a small music store in Flagstaff. Arizona that no longer exists. Otherwise, I’ve had a few last 15-20 years.

Got a 20ft Whirlwind still going from the early/mid 90s sometime. First quality lead I bought after having a fewer cheaper ones and then understanding why you pay more for a good lead.

That said, some time back then my favourite music shop ran a bargain bin full of 10ft leads with moulded plugs that had come with some of the cheaper starter guitars. £1 ]per lead. I bought 10 of them and kept them in my gig bag for years as emergency backups in case any issues at a gig. Still got a couple in use now for home practicing.
