It was exactly $500 out the door with HSC. Well about five and a quarter with tax.
Then I found out whoever the owner was tossed a boatload of nice parts into it: Duncan Jazz pickups, trisound circuitry (dual coil, single, parallel reverse phase switching), aftermarket Gotoh roller bridge and finetuning stoptail, Gold Grover imperials. I think the former owner bought it to look at because it was new and spotless and had no fretwear and the serial number said it was 15 years old!
I picked it up in the store and under a minute later I said "Oh shit, I'm getting this." That rarely happens and/or can happen so yeah. Serendipity.
