What is your favorite style of hat?

Anyoe who says fedora will be banned. I have already spoken with mark about this and he assured me it would be fast and swift....a perma ban so choose wisely

Myself prefers the nam style booney hat. the right "ballcap" can be fine but if chosen wrong you either look like a dad, a snowboarder/Extreme games motorcycle stunt jumper, a nascar fan beyond that they are not very functional for shade

other than knit cap for really cold days in winter when i have to be outside, all i own are "ball cap" type hats.
mostly golf brands/logos. i DO have an NCIS hat that freaks people out when i wear to the grocery store :bigg:

The only hat I wear is a baseball cap, mainly to keep rain off my glasses. Can also be useful on the rare days we see the sun here in the UK.

I own a few ball caps I use when I do yardwork. I don't really do hats well, but I have a wide brimmed one I use for hiking. It likely looks stupid, but it works. This would be my favorite.

Basically an older version of this one.

Usually a ballcap if I'm working outside during the summer/fall. If it gets super cold I wear a knit beanie. I have one of these that I wear sometimes if it's cold:

my dad used to wear one of those types in ther 70's and early 80's. I think they are kinda neato but I'm like Denverdave and not really a hat guy but as I thin more and more and the sun gets more and more nuclear here that will change out of necessity which is why i prefer the Booney because it's got a good balance of form and function and the hat I feel most comfortable in even though I mainly wear a hat during yard work or hiking, occasionally at work.
anyway there is this Youtyube dude who is based in Japan and he rocks that style, he's the liam Gallagher of that style

I was never a hat person, but since getting into running, I wear a lot of ball cap / "trucker" hats lately

(knit hat in the winter, obvs)

I don't think baseball cap vs trucker have universal definitions - there are so many variations; I have some hats with one big front panel that aren't foam, I have hats with one giant front panel that is foam, but doesn't have that "steep" front, etc

unless mesh back can be the defining feature? in that case all the "ball caps" I have are "trucker hats"
