What are you listening to right now?

The last few days it's been a lot of mid- late 80s thrash metal. Exodus, Testament, Slayer, Megadeth...

FWIW, Exodus' last couple albums are really damn solid. Gary's tone is really heavy and all the classic riffing is there. I keep meaning to check out the latest Testament but it's always slipping my mind lately.

anyhow, these are my current obsessions:
Japandorids Celebration Rock...fantastic album

Black Mountain Wilderness Heart.....mmmm greasy

The new Joe Bonamassa, "Driving Towards The Daylight". I've always appreceiated his skill, but this album made me a real fan. It's a collection of old songs that he updated. His playing is more relaxed, with few effects, and his guitar tone is as fat and round as Jennifer Lopez's ass. It's one of those albums I listen to in the car, very loud.

Oh, and I'm listening to my youngest scream from gas (not our kind of gas) and the Extremist.

I saw them last summer and they were pretty great live. I also have a bit of a crush on their violinist, Charity. :embarrassed:

I was just listening to the "Sound of Perseverance" album by Death..their final one I think...absolutely killer technical death metal if you like that sort of thing. Which I do. :embarrassed:

That might end up becoming my favorite Bonamassa album.
