WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO......RIGHT NOW......Mk III

Swamp cooler at the shop…. It’s a cool 107 outside and 102 inside

Oh that is great, isn't it?:thu:

I've been listening to it again, and it really is so good. Hadn't listened to it in years, and now I'm wondering why I haven't been listening to it all the time.

I also idly wonder if the harmonics thing was influenced in any small way by a similar build up in Eno's 'Paw Paw Negro Blowtorch'? That would be a question to ask 'Justin Hawkins Rides Again' on youtube.

Funny how the AC30, the quintessential British Invasion amp, has become the go-to amp for many country players, like vice versa the Ford V8, the quintessential American combustion engine, has powered many British race cars.

I often sit and think about this.

It's really cool that it's become the standard 'second option' in country. The #1 is still a Fender amp, but the AC30 is the close second and is 'the other country tone' now.

I remember watching a clip with Norah Jones playing her Mustang through a Vox Pathfinder and getting amazing tone. A $100 solid state amp. That's like casually doing Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake to perfection wearing a sweater, jeans and a pair of worn-out All Stars.

Incredible performance. Tiny desk has definitely gotten better as they record outside of the actual (in my opinion terrible sounding) 'tiny desk'. More interesting backgrounds and better sound quality.
