WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO......RIGHT NOW......Mk III

There was a lad in our school got caught in the boy's toilets furiously wanking to a Transvision Vamp record sleeve, needless to say he was teased mercilessly. The two things are forever linked now in my mind.

I csn't remember which particular sleeve it was. I suppose I could post a selection and you could vote which is most worth a hand solo.

Thread of the year, that would be

I remember watching In the Heat of the Night on TV late one night and being so taken with that song that I had to get my guitar out and learn the solo right there and then, because it seemed like such a Crampsy thing. Luckily I was taping the film as I watched it so I could listen back to the song. Now we can just use youtube. What a convenient world we live in.

I think I saw it once or twice in the early/mid 90s and always wanted that song, but you could only get it on the soundtrack because Boomer & Travis barely existed, and the soundtrack was only on vinyl, and it was 10-15 years before youtube, etc. etc.

Among others, there's a piece of music I especially love in this doc, that I did tape, but then it got to where it would have taken forever to find it in the tape mountain, so I didn't hear it for 20+ years until it was finally uploaded to YT.

I too fancied whatsherface but have no recollection of having a hand shandy over her.

From what I know, Quincy Jones wanted to use Sam the Sham & the Pharoahs' 'Little Red Riding Hood' but couldn't for some reason, and came up with the Boomer & Travis thing as something in a similar vein. I think it worked out even better. It suits the diner guy perfectly.

That Butch and Sundance doc tune is cool. I remember you posting it before, I think when you found it on YT?

Yeah, I'm still excited about it. *spits*

Their other outing could benefit from a sprinkling of magic Q dust.

If you ever consider starting a label focusing on smutty satanist/horror erotica artists, may I suggest the name Impulse Control Records?

Yeah, lightning didn't strike twice with Boomer and Travis.

I've just gone back and learned the 'Foul Owl' solo again. It's a lovely, simple, Don Rich-goes-serial-killing kinda thing.
