I just realized why all these cool sludgy bands from denver have some similarity - they all have/had the same guy in them: Ethan McCarthy; he does the vocals and guitar. Yet another of his bands is Clinging To The Trees of a Forest Fire, also really good! He's also somehow connected to Cobalt. I guess denver just has a very incestuous heavy music scene (in a good way)Fuck, that’s absolute filth.

I can't quite tell - his tone definitely has some of that articulate-yet-sludgy thing that the hm-2 does, and there are some tremolo picked single note bits (1:20 on track 5 from this album: https://verminwombtl.bandcamp.com ) that realllly sound like it. I'll peek at his Primitive Man gear next week.Can’t really hear through shitty phone speakers, but is that a hm-2 I am hearing?
