Just came here from Facebook. Gary Blanchard had a video on there, tried to listen to it, could not, think it's the headphones. I'll come back to this later. Really want to hear Gary's video Children of the Sun too. I'm guessing it's not a cover of Billy Squire's.
Or Billy Thorpe's version.

Most recently Portugal. The Man "Feel it Still" and Gorillaz "Feel Good Inc.". Cool bass groove on that one. Looking for anything that might sound like the Dap Kings.

I've been getting caught up on past Jars Of Clay releases. The more I listen to them the more convinced I am that they are among the elite of pop/rock bands. Every release is different. Consistently brilliant songwriting. Their last 4 releases are just stupid good pop albums.

This one has been stuck in my head all morning...

I don't know how I got here, but I've been going through some Joni Mitchell catalog today. It makes me want to go home and fiddle with some open tunings.

The Classic Rock radio station in my area plays a couple of Jars Of Clay songs once in a while. I think it helped that JoC had a huge hit back in what, '95?

Flood was their biggest hit. That song was produced by Adrian Belew.

My local classic rock station never, ever plays anything that you haven't already heard 5,000 times before. If they've ever played a Jars of Clay song, I'll cut off my pinkie toe with a pair of garden shears.

Hell, one day they played "My Best Friend's Girl" by The Cars as their Deep Cut of the Day! That song was a pretty damned big hit off a debut album that contained a crapload of big hits back in 1978.

Their idea of Deep Cut is far different from mine. /rant

Planet Rock radio:

Sabbath - Never Say Die

And now Supertramp - Logical Song

Cool radio station :thu:
