For some reason went down a wormhole and ended up listening to Operation:Mindcrime for the first time in ages.
Forgot how good it was. :embarrassed:

And..jeebus, that rhythm guitar tone is just perfect.

Sometimes all you need is a jcm800. :embarrassed:

i've been reminiscing about a time in the summer spent with cousins blasting around Lake Chautauqua NY, on a 16' Hobi cat sailboat.
i can't count the number of times we kids (4 of us, 10 to 13 in the late '60's) had that puppy up on one pontoon, hanging it out there to keep it from going over, which it did now and then. and those memories brought to this song.

My freinds dad used to race Hobi cats in the ocean. He was pretty good. He's won more than a few races in his class. I went on the boat a couple of times. What a rush when he would lift one of the hulls and you hang off the side!

I hate to bring the party down. That freind died when he was 21 from AIDS 33 years ago. He was a Hemophiliac. He got a bad blood transfusion. The blood screens were shit back then. RIP Mike Rose!
Side note. Glenn Hughes is incredible!

I didnt have the pleasure of trying to get the boat sailing again after you capsize. I imagine that's pretty intense.

well, it's kind of like when you're tacking. but everybody gets on the pontoon that's up, and you grab the ropes and hang it out there as hard as you can and if you have enough weight for the size of the Hobie, it very slowly starts to come back up out of the water until it's right again.
Hobies absolutely require vests, our you would certainly drown.
