He was such an incredible guitarist, I don't think he gets enough appreciation outside of the 'telecaster afficianado/b-bender/country rock/bluegrass' niche. I think even the kind of people who like sixties music don't pay as much attention to his tenure in The Byrds.

Gotcha.

Yeah, he’s a really interesting figure. Massive influence in bluegrass guitar, but outside of that, he’s seen as a footnote — a died-too-young member of The Byrds and as a co-inventor of the B-Bender.

I guess that’s a downside of dying young, having a relatively small recorded output, and for being talented enough to be good at a bunch of unconnected things all at once.

that's like me and my typing skills...or lack there of . I seem to have three thumbs on my hands and the poor lighting doesn't help either but I figure most people on the forum are smart enough to figure 0ut what i'm posting :)
