Food Jam: Wendy’s has a new sandwich, if’s called the pretzel pub cheeseburger. Looks big and nasty.

IIRC it's not actually one of their owners, but one of their larger franchise holders. Minor distinction, but since it's an Ohio company that also has (especially locally) smaller franchisees I didn't feel comfortable boycotting them the same way I would Chik-fil-a.

With that said, @smurfco it's also available as a chicken sandwich, and I think that actually sounds better than on the burger.

As someone who has attended the International Franchise Association conference, pretty much all franchisors and franchisees (especially mega franchisees) exist in a world of weird, wild shit from a socio-political point of view (I mean, speaking with my fellow anarcho-lefty scum). It’s not International Chiefs of Police weird, but still weird. Basically if an industry can muster a three day bender in a convention center, bad shit is going down.

I was at Wendy’s yesterday and thought about ordering one of those. But then I thought about the calorie count and stuck with the basic fried chicken sandwich.

I give zero fucks about Wendy’s nasty nasty sandwich. But I’m pretty excited that McDonalds has spicy nuggets now and I will probably eat some for lunch tomorrow...in a cemetery...which is where I eat my lunch. Because I’m fucking goth.

You’re emo, fucking poser...

This is not a ridiculous sammich.

quarter-pound* of fresh, never-frozen beef, warm beer cheese sauce, Applewood smoked bacon, smoky honey mustard, crispy fried onions, pickles, and a slice of muenster cheese all on an extra soft pretzel bun.

it’s a cheeseburger with bacon and crispy onions. Everything else is common toppings.

Yeah, but this one tastes like shit and gives you diarrhea.

My son got a Wendy's honey butter chicken biscuit this morning. It literally smelled like someone had pissed themselves and just rode out the day in it.
Nope. Not going back for those.
As for the spicy McNuggs, oh baby they are good! I ate a 20 piece the day they came out.

Have a hotdog instead.

wow...art really does imitate life...

It's weird to see a movie star like Jack Black doing a take on a Youtube celebrity. Perhaps it's all "in the know and wink wink" or perhaps he's truly doing a Jimmy Page and lifting the idea but at about 1:24 of the JB video Jack says "come on and join me, SHALL YOU"

Well Adam the Woo has made that his trademark for like the past ten years so I gotta think the celeb know the celeb...art i mitates life...

Here is a sample of every Adam intro ever at about thrity seconds

Yeah, my dad's side of the family owned several franchises so I grew up with that weirdness. I've mentioned it before, but my grandfather's life goal was to be the Republican Kennedys, so restaurants, planes, racehorses, yachts... all that shit was in play until my dad took over and kept my grandfather's hands out of honey pot. Grandfather always wanted me to take over someday, but I had no interest, largely because of my anarcho lefty-scum brain.

But you could be the anarcho lefty-scum Kennedys.

Adam? The Woo????

I’ve had the honey butter chicken biscuit a few times. Not nearly as good as Whataburgers, but still pretty good. You must have a bad Wendy’s.

I’ll report back after I try one. Almost got one the other day but wasn’t hungry enough for a burger that big.

I don’t eat fast food but a good pretzel bun really jazzes up my sammich love.

I’d kill a man to have one of those frosty cappuccino things magically appear on my coffee table right now.
I thought I would love pretzel rolls, and I do like them; I have found however that I am losing my love of bread and now mostly doing wraps and flat bread. I don't know what brought on the change as I used to love bread and rolls.

I was going to say the same thing.
