was a fishnet t-shirt common activewear in the mid-70s?

Guilty!!!

And I shopped almost exclusively at Chess King for 8th and 9th grade. Might as well put that out there now. Girls dug it though [shrug].

I remember the name and know that I shopped there often, just can't recall the logo or look of the store.

I bet no one remembers London Britches from the late 60s. Mod and hippie clothing.

I don't miss the silk printed shirts of the late 70's.

I'm trying to imagine the point of wearing such an undergarment while hiking. The new undershirts wick away moisture from you skin which can help avoid hypothermia. Fishnet is just a few threads resting on your skin. Did it help in anyway that you perceived?

I think back then trhey just thought it would be beneficial just like today you have hybrid cargo shorts with flexy material....back then they just wore shorty shorts because by default the leg inseam was not long enough to interfere with movement. Now if they do interfere the material has stretch....it was all babysteps on the path of technology

I still wear fairly short shorts for running.

Hey, don't talk trash about hybrid cargo shorts!
