i've never been impressed with any Gibson Explorer i've played, and i can't afford a Hamer.

I'd take a Hamer in a heartbeat, but they seem to use colors I dont much like.

i've never been impressed with any Gibson Explorer i've played, and i can't afford a Hamer.

The only Gibson I've tried was Dan Jacobs from Atreyu when he was taking lessons from me in 2005...his played pretty nice but I didn't get to hear it through a real amp.

I haven't tried a Hamer but I am intrigued by them for some reason....

so do i, but i've set a limit. i've never spent $2k on anything. come close, but never gone over.

at some point, i might get a semi-hollow. though considering that i have my Ric, i'm not entirely sold on the idea. of really having to spend more than that on an ES-330 or a Gretsch.
