They're letting me play with a handgun today...

Lots of departments have their officers buy their own weapon (normally at a discounted rate) - it gives the individual officrs a choice to buy the weapon with which they're most comfortable, rather than issuing a "one size fits all" weapon.

Tude is a Sheriffs Deputy. They work at the jail while they are doing their other training and put on the street. One of my friends had to work at the LA County Jail for over 2 years before he was done with training.
 
Actually I should have said she was a Blues Singer and in her state they are required to carry a concealed weapon.

Alas, they normally have a list of approved weapons from which they must ourchase - I doubt the artillery is on the list...
