The "Welcome to my Annual Nightmare" thread.

I tried to watch it yesterday. I clicked play, got nothing. Clicked it again, it said watch again on Instagram. Clicked it again, it brought me to Instagram where it's a picture with no play button. Just tried it again now, same thing.

So this happened yesterday:

Most important part of this award is that you have “Get Out of ‘Wagon Wheel’ Free” privileges at all gigs until next April. You can also veto one “Mustang Sally” per month.

It’s good to be the king!

Thanks for the tip in the Airstep. It sounds like it's exactly what I need. I just ordered one!

I'm a fan of the LI boxes. I use one with my Iridium, which has been my go-to amp modeler for a bit. But I just got the stereo Walrus to run with this guy. Here's my "in development" messy setup for pedal steel. It's about the same footprint size as my current setup, but I only really use one amp in the Iridium, so this will give me a lot more options, and I'm stoked.View attachment 115111

I finally got a chance to watch that clip.

Amazing!

And congrats on the recognition. Well deserved.
Thank you!

I think the clip is literally just animated text and "Freebird" playing in the background.

I have a list of about 20 songs I would put on that list ahead of Wagon Wheel at this point.

Who won the AM employee of the year award?
Got to be an early bird.

Congrats!
lol.

Dude....

Like, you used to be cool, but now you're all teacher of the year and shit...

I hope you have all summer to recuperate?

I finally watched the clip. That was awesome. They had great energy in that performance, and it sounded flawless.

Same

Same kids, different event - CHOC (Childrens Hospital Orange County) Gala opening for Christina Aguilera. And no, I never got to see her and I had to leave before she performed. They kept her away from the kids, at least while I was there.

This week we have our conservatory Original Showcase in our symphony hall, next week is our Season Finale at the Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts, then we have the Senior Showcase (kind of our conservatory year-ender/awards ceremony) and then Graduation. I have an event a week until the end of school.

I couldn’t let them use my FM9 for this one so I consolidated both guitars and added a ToneX one to the target cutting board. The one guitarist was only using a clean sound for the two songs they were playing that night so it worked.

Both the guitarist and the bassist for Christina’s band we using old-style Helixes.

This week is out conservatory original music showcase. This was fun because I got to coach five artists with their music and now we are teching the show this week for Saturday performance.

I'll post more later but this is our "Symphony Hall" on campus which means that it is not really the best environtment for loud rock music. We have all of the instruments under control because we are using Fractal FM3's and ToneX for the guitars and bass but the drums (especially cymbals) are a problem. Getting student drummers to play to the room but keep the energy
and not beat the drums like they owe them money is the challenge this week.

OK - this was a fucking nightmare because the brand new FOH console (Allen and Heath) apparently purged our mixes and the engineer (who is new to us) was not on top of their game and caused all kinds of mayhem. I can't really get specific other than this was way more stressfull than it needed to be. This week it is all about Season Finale, which is our major event at the Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts where every conservatory presents the highlight of their year. This year I'm going all in on the direct shit for guitars and bass and there will be my three ToneX and the conservatories two Fractal FM3's since one group has four guitars and a bassist.

Just reading your last few posts makes me need a whiskey and a Xanax. Can’t imagine how you must be feeling.

The only wayt to describe it is as iff I was on six different tours at the same time, only playing music on one of them and still need to drive home and take the trash out every night.
