It's Gala Week where I work!

This is the second one I've done as band director. Last year turned out great, but this year has been a bit of a slog. I think I'll document things in this thread (partially for theraputic reasons).

From last year:

This year is in a different venue - 78’ wide stage and there will be five video screens.

Damn! That looks like a lot to wrangle.
It is. The band is bass, drums, 2 keys and 2 guitars, 2 violin, viola and cello for students and they are adding a 9 piece pro horn section and percussionist. Everything is on click/timecode so the kids are all in IEMs and have been rehearsing with the backing tracks the whole time. There are 35 or so vocalists and 40 or-so dancers and the show is in three acts with live auctions happening throughout and the kids needing to provide underscore.

Everything is direct, so the guitarists are using my Fractal FM9 and ToneX pedals and the bassist is using one of my ToneX One pedals. The string quartet is using the Yamaha "Silent" series so they are also direct. I've gotten my conservatory to invest in Fractals and they have the older gen Helixes but for this group we haven't had the budget yet.
