The Star Wars Fanboi, I am excited thread . . .

Just got back from seeing the movie in 3D. Fucking loved it!! Looked beautiful, great characters and acting. Good (if rehashed) story. I was fully engrossed from start to finish. Chills, cheers, butterflies, watery eyes. That's entertainment!

Someone should start a "warning spoilers thread" for discussion?
Someone can, but no spoilers in this thread. I have tix for the 3D on Saturday. :)

Saw it last night with the wife and son. He was so chuffed to finally see a Star Wars film in a cinema!

Quite rightly lots of nods/homage to the original trilogy. Excellent throughout IMHO.

We've got tickets for a matinee on Monday. The theater has reserved seating, so we don't have to the waiting in line game that we know some of our friends are doing/did tonight/last night and beyond. We're taking our five year old with the understanding that he may need a break if things get too scary...keeping in mind that his notion of scary is far different from a developed rational (or least semi-rational) adult (or at least semi-adult) mind.

We are taking the kids at 7 tonight. I have be cautiously optimistic about the movie, but from what people are saying, it is awesome, so now I am getting excited to see it.

A few weeks down the road for me. Hopefully the attendance tapers off when I go.

We went to a fairly crappy theater to see it last night. Bought tickets about 2 hours before showtime and got to the theater about 30 minutes before showtime. We got great seats and there were enough empty chairs to be comfy.

I'll probably wait a few weeks to see the film in a "modern" theater or maybe IMAX to get the full experience.

if you can't wait to go see it, just go to a dumpy theater. you'll get a good seat.

I just saw Mockingjay Part 2 last weekend. Not in a rush as I will get there. I don't need the IMAX experience so I am okay. If people start talking about it, it doesn't bother me at all.

I will catch it in time

I don't think that I have seen all of the prequels..maybe not any.

Should I see those before I see the new one?

Should I make my wife binge watch all the previous movies?

Skip the prequels, except maybe the final one. Read plot summaries of the previous two.

I'm taking my stepson & his fiance and my 13 y/o son to see it at the Alamo Drafthouse Tuesday night. NO SPOILERS.

Fuck that...it's wars in the stars! And the Force, that shit will AWAKEN (actually it would be reawakens, and even then it can't really have ever slept...there are problems with the title).

Deal with that BEE-yatch!:thu:

You spoiler thread people know that telling us whether you liked it or not isn't a spoiler, right? Apparently not. :embarrassed:

We have tickets to see it with the kids tomorrow afternoon. We were planning to wait a few weeks but the kids at school told my boys and they won’t stop asking.
