I have that Leonard Nimoy album. It's not nearly as good as Shatner's solo LP from that same era -- The Transformed Man.
 
I have the Thor: Keep the Dogs Away album (the cover of which for whatever reason is too large to post in this thread), and it's as awful as it looks. There is one song on it I've wanted to cover for years as a laugh, though.

& you know, I guarantee that if you were to walk into any thrift store & take a look at the records, you'd see many many many more- just a mountain of shit. On more than one occasion I've looked at the records to see if there's anything interesting-Frank Zappa or something, only to be faced w/some monstrously awful mid-80's record cover of some guy who just knows he's really really cool. More than one album cover has caused me to burst out laughing because of sheer unintensional humor.

It's no wonder that nobody cares about the visual aspect of recorded music- it was killed by false attitude & dishonesty- being naivete, "coolness", "I'm dangerous-look out for ME",etc...
Couple that, w/changing stylistic factors (clothing, hair, etc), & you get a pile of shitty records.
 
This is totally killing me and I really needed a laugh too, one of those days from heck.

I want to HEAR those records!
