spending the day playing, recording stuff, working on the cover art for the next MUNG cd, and drinking a shit-ton of beer, since i didn't get to do so yesterday (damn work).

just finished a Jesus & Mary Chain cover, which turned out okay, though I certainly do not have the best voice for "proper" singing.
I kept it pretty close to the original.
thinkin' maybe I should have punked it up a bit...
ah well.


been doing a marathon of Six Million Dollar Man episodes lately.
I think we've just about cleared season one.
love this show.
was in the fan club, back in the day.
wish I still had the embroidered patch I got for that club, I'd have it on my jacket now.

and finally did the drum track for that Puff the Magic Dragon cover.
it totally slipped my mind.
I should have some files for the other particpants (assuming they're still interested) within a day or two.
possibly today, if this goes well.
 
Ahhh. the wonders of Windows... In desktop mode, Internet Explorer doesnt work.. go figure!!!! Hooray to the Windows 8 Team for being on top of things.....

The dogs are settled right now. Some of the crazy puppy energy is wearing off.

Yesterday I went down to Discount Tire and spent part of my bonus money. I bought 4 new Pirelli P4's for my daily driver. I was holding off doing this until I was sure I was going to buy out the Altima, which I did a couple weeks ago. The stock Contenentials were just not that good in the snow. I was only going to do the front tires- but the numbers were good. So I did all four.

Its not that I cant find another browser, its the fact that its own browser doesnt work outside of its Metro Start page... Its new, and I want it new without scratches yet... know what I mean?

Ken, IE should work just fine in desktop mode it should even be pinned to the task bar. Have you run all of the updates? The desktop version of IE should be a different version from the Metro.

Mornin... Right, I've tried some suggestions from others in forums, even reinstalling or resetting IE10 so to speak. Not sure what else to try honestly. Metro version works fine, not a problem there. But for whatever reason, in desktop mode, that version doesnt work. Really irks me that its happening.

Ken, I just put W8 on my desktop PC about a month ago, and had no issues with IE :shrug:. Even so, I generally use Chrome more than anything else.
 
Mornin Scott. Yea I dont know whats up. Its a fresh install, so I cant imagine a conflict somwhere. I use chrome too... unfortunately for me it happened before I installed a different browser.
 
Peeker, that sounds like a great day. I miss getting to record. I have a bunch of stuff I want and need to get done. Perhaps when my youngest finally starts school as he is always with me if I'm not at work.

As for the six million dollar man marathon watching... I was a big fan in the day too. I still have my six million dollar man figure. He is missing the bionics and a foot, but has his clothes. I remember when I broke the foot, I was doing a bionic jump with it and pop. Kind of hurt my heart as my action figure wasn't as tough as the real thing.

I figured it out! RESULT!

Desktop mode on windows 8 shows internet explorer in 32 bit mode. So, ticked "enable enhanced mode" and voila. Im posting this from Google chrome BTW. :lol:
