I did multitrack everything one year. Some of it came out alright.

Other stuff...well, you could tell we were having a great time. :grin:

Unfortunately, one of my Firepods has a short in one of the inputs and it isn't usable right now.

Anyway, I never really got both Firepods working together with Pro Tools.

I've been thinking about getting a Focusrite Sapphire Pro 40 and replacing the Firepod. Eventually I'll have to get two of them to daisy chain.

And I'm upset with myself that I bought the wrong adapter and am unable to plug my Mic directly into my soundcard.

Well, I did get one Firepod working. I'm not sure I ever tried doing both at the same time, since I haven't recorded a whole band for a long time. It's a moot point anyway since one of the Firepods is dying.

I've recorded my Guitar directly into there before for Diary of a Madman (if you remember that). It's a dynamic mic so I thought. Ohhhh.. what the hell, give it a shot for 1.50€.

I actually get a better signal from my guitar doing that than through my Black Box.

she is REALLY looking forward to trying recording with me, so this wouldbe a cool way of trying...

On the one hand, I would like to get a song done for the recordingfest. On the other hand, I don't want the recording fest to turn in the Charlie Foxtrot that Coverfest became on HC because of all the delays in posting the reveals.
 
I only had 4 entries so far. Maybe I'll do a reveal regardless in two weeks and call it done for this one. That way folks can get in last minute ttracks.
 
Well, I guess I'll break out my very first DIY effect (pull it up from the basement, it's been a while) and see if I can get to work on all 11 minutes of the tune I'd like to do. Maybe I can get something done before the middle of July.

Got to get off my ass.
 
Bouncing the mix of Song #2 right now. Still need to fix #1 and I may just be ambitious enough to tackle a third.
