If it's a straight up cover you could probably find a midi file and isolate the drums. Or I could isolate them for you.

I either do that or program them in the midi editor in Samplitude. (A bit hard to learn in short time though)

I pulled in a MIDI file and all the instruments were separated when I imported it into Cubase. I use EZ Drummer for the VST for the drums, and the track also had a pretty cool fretless bass track so I used the Halion Synth to get a better sound for that. Sounds good! Thanks for the tip!!

Looks like I will be able to finish this one pretty easy now. I need to cut the vocals and then see if I can get a better take on the acoustic tracks. I am not happy with either of them but they will work if I cannot get a better take....
 
I got the song done. The mix and effects needs tweaking, but it is done otherwise. Not the best thing I have done, but it has it's moments.
 
I just finished recording vocals. Not really happy with the guitars, but I'll tackle them with fresh ears tomorrow.
 
Finished up Mrs. P's entry last night. Uploaded it this morning (along with yet another remix of my entry).

Will send the links to Mark later today.
