It really wasn't THAT bad. I mean, yeah, it was unpleasant, but it wasn't intolerable.
And the pain started to subside within about 10 minutes, and was completely gone within 20-30 minutes.

I just tried a little one that ripened up on my plant. It was only the size of a dime...one of the first ones that sprung out this spring. And you could tell. It didn't have time to develop the typical habanero BANG! but it still had a pretty good whallop. I can't wait until the bigger ones turn orange. eat0

I've got to get some photographic proof all up in here. As soon as I get a decent sized one, I'm gonna do that. Then the world is right. If that one in my avatar wouldn't have been all shriveled, that would have done nicely.

I was at Meijer the other day, and I passed a jar of Habaneros.... I thought of you guys....

Thats interesting. I wonder if they were pickled or anything. I have never heard of jarred ones. I must investigate.

I, too, saw a small jar at a local market. I think it was 8 oz. or something like that. Picked it up, looked at the price tag and promptly put it back down. $12.99. messedup0
