Skye is very sweet and loves to play with people and other dogs. We are thinking he will be good company for Sasha and Molly.

I think I'm a nut case magnet

I had almost 20 years of making poor relationship choices. For me, it took about a year of therapy to realize that I gravitated toward people with issues due to my own issues. I was lucky to meet the third Mrs. Blanchard after I got my head together.

You need to develop a screening tool for potential mates. I suggest subtle questions like, "Are you batshit crazy?"

I've never understood why/how some folks keep getting into bad relationships. Sometimes for me it's like watching a car wreck in slow-mo. I want to say something, but I know that if I do I'll just get resentment so I sit and wait and help pick up the pieces afterward...

I know for me it was feeling like I was inferior and had to "settle" for someone crazy enough to want to be with me.

But I'm much better now. :embarrassed:

I just don't get into relationships. I have a lot of friends. But I have no desire to connect with anyone right now. I have enough problems with my own issues.

So we just met the rescue Sheltie. Very sweet dog. Friendly. Not fearful. Too skinny, but we will work on that. We will probably take him in this weekend.

Great news!
I love hearing about people adopting dogs. I need to occasionally know that my wife and I aren't crazy for doing the same. :embarrassed:

We have 4 adoptions/rescues. A very sweet chihuahua (I can't believe I'd ever like one), a terrier-poodle mix that was found in a plastic trash bag with his sister, a Rhodesian ridgeback-whippet mix, and a now 14 year old greyhound we adopted from the ranch after her second litter was weaned. The greyhound is very close to the end. We may have to put her down soon. :(

Good afternoon. I think I just sold my 50's Tribute Les Paul. A friend, one of the instructors at the music school, just spent the afternoon here trying out guitars. Her old guitar has a bad neck. She seemed to fall in love with the LP. So I'm lending it to her for a few weeks so she can road test it at some local gigs. I expect that I will be getting a check or a paypal payment for it. If not, I know where to find her.
