Thanks, Tweedle!!! :thu:

FWIW, they also have Blues Junior IIIs for $299...and they are in stock. I also gave it a shot on an Excelsior for $169 - it show temporarily out of stock, but NOT sold-out, discontinued, so keeping my fingers crossed...

That's a great price for the VOX. I got mine for about $90, IIRC and I probably play through that more than any other amp these days at home. I really like being able to plug in an MP3, my guitar, and a mic. It'll handle all three without sounding too stressed.

Moderator edit:

This post kind of feels like spam. A new member with one post linking to a site selling lessons. I'm going to delete it. Hopefully, I am wrong and TheGuitarist wants to be a member of the group, but if I see something like this again, it is all over.

Squier Classic Vibe Duo Sonic - $149.99 EDIT: Now back up to $199

I had one of these when they first came out and I really enjoyed it. It's a lot of guitar for $150 if you're ok with the short scale and pale white neck. I posted a terrible demo of it on YouTube when I first got it, if you want to suffer through my playing to get an idea of what it sounds like.

I would call the store when they open. $12 shipping, and you can return it to your local GC if you don't like it. No brainer.

I agree, Bob. That's a good deal. $12 isn't much to risk. If you like it, you got a great deal, Scott.

FWIW, the crate V18, V33 and V50 all share the same ill fated switching power supply. The supply seems to last longer in the v18's, possibly due to 2xEL84's drawing less current than the 4xEL84's in the V33. I haven't heard that much about the V50's, as they don't seem to have been as popular, but w/2x 6L6's their current draw would be pretty close to what 4xEL84's are pulling.

Anyway, if it works and stays working, good deal. If the power supply croaks, well, they ain't making any more and they can be a royal pain to the repair.

EDIT: oh, and yeah, if it was sitting in front of me, working, I'd definitely shell out $150 for it!

Something to consider, don't know the cost, or how long it's good for but, you can buy a warranty. Every time I buy an amp from them they ask, "do you want pro coverage?", and I say no. Figure if I buy it dirt cheap, it's not worth it. Also, if it's a combo, I'm going to make a head out of it, or if it's a combo, I'm going to make a head out of it so, warranty would probably be voided.

Also, Scott I do understand, you like an excuse to visit GCs when you are supposed to be working  . Just saying, it won't be there long.
