The Great Deals Thread

This is a really great deal. I picked up the Tele version of this in June. Essentially, it's a poor person's version of a Fender Acoustisonic. I had to make some modifications. The pickup in mine had a very low output. I had a Lace Sensor Blue that I put in with a pickup ring so I could get it closer to the strings. So it's nothing major, especially if you have some decent unused pickups lying around. These play really well, and the piezo sounds good. I've played live with mine. The neck is decent and only required a minor setup. This is really a no brainer if you can use something like this. I'd buy another, but I also have a Tele Thinline that I added a piezo to, so I can't justify it.

They also have some gigbag deals, so look around a bit.

Black Friday is on at Amazon. I saw some nice discounts on Donner stuff. There are also deals on low cost pedalboards from the usual Chinese brands.

It’s a good thing that I don’t like strats because if I did I’d buy the red body and the blue body.

FMIC’s CEO just retired and the head of the APAC region took over. I hope that doesn’t mean that they’ll stop making blue guitars nobody wants.

I like the blue Strats and Teles. I just don't need any more. I'm getting ready to sell some stuff and downsize. I just ordered a used blue PRS S2 Standard this morning. I plan to sell my Gibson SG, an Epi Les Paul, and possibly others. The S2 Standard is close enough to an SG for me. This one was made in the birth year of my great niece, so it will go to her when she's ready. I'll likely sell some of my partscasters also. I just have too much stuff.

I'm pretty sure my wife is on track to single handedly keep blue in the lineup of all guitar manufacturers.

Her collection:
  1. Squier Bullet Mustang - Imperial Blue
  2. Squier Affinity Tele - FSR Ice Blue Metallic, upgraded with a Carmedon McFly pickguard, Fender ashtray bridge plate, Gotoh In-Tune brass saddles, and Jason Isbell pickups
  3. Squier Classic Vibe Jaguar - FSR Chicago Music Exchange blue sparkle
  4. Squier Paranormal Esquire Deluxe - Fender website exclusive blue sparkle (different than the Jaguar)
  5. Fender Vintera Mustang body with MIC neck and Q Pickups Classic Mustang pickups - Lake Placid Blue
  6. Fender Player II Telecaster - FSR Moonlight Drive (dark metallic blue) with Duncan Hotrails in the bridge
  7. Gretsch G5220 - Midnight Sapphire with a 3D printed pickguard with cute penguin
  8. Squier Classic Vibe '70s Thinline Tele - FSR Olympic White with maple board (black blocks and binding) (THE ONLY ONE NOT BLUE!)
Oh, and she plays through a Vox AC15C1 that's in the blue/cream colorway.

From my days as a GC employee and a sales person then buyer for The Music Den (from '01 to '05) I'm glad that Fender finally stopped making EVERYTHING in black because that's all GC would buy.
