I really like that!...gnarly sounding and your note choices give it an exotic feel that really works I think. Bravo!

As opposed to my first "pissed off with work" version, this is a "relaxed Saturday morning in London" version..still sloppy though. :embarrassed:
 
First take, sound is a bit shoddy but video is all I am working with at the moment. Also, guitars (besides the classical) are still packed up from the move.

I just checked the link and it's working but my webserver might have stopped serving pages sometime in the last 24 hours so restarted.. should be ok now.
 
Here is my take. I used this as an exercise in using my new Protools rig. Sorry for the sloppy editing AND playing. This is the first song I have mixed down in any digital format. :rolleyes:

I listened to all the great stuff posted after I recorded mine and now realize my take on this backing track is nothing like the others. messedup0

I'm not sure I've ever heard a Frisell song. It should be obvious after listening.

Bit hard to hear you but good and original approach. I liked the drone quality to it.

I couldn't see their links either. I found them by hitting "reply with quote". Then the links appear.
 
So I redid my mix. My previous version was a mess for several reasons. I split the 4 guitar tracks into 2 tracks per song, which was my original intent. Neither pair of guitar tracks are exceptional but at least now you can hear some detail. Hopefully these are a little more focused.

I still very new at this stuff. I have so much to learn.


Edit: I removed one of the files.
