It's been quite a week. I'm ready to kick back tonight with a refreshing beverage with a most unusual flavor.

When they don't show up they don't get a new make-up lesson to to replace it, so it's kinda free money. Still pisses me off though. I had another one cancel because the kid is sick and that's one thing, but no shows....

same here.

Bamp.

Tonight we're just hanging in, watching The Road on Blu-ray at home.

Tomorrow morning I'm helping my friend move, hopefully he lets me borrow the truck to move some of my parents furniture to my place as well. That night I'm attending my friend's Halloween party and watching my buddy flip out over the Rangers in the WS.

Sunday is recovery with chores around the house and NFL all day.

Friday - Cleaning/laundry this morning, selling a guitar this evening, and getting drunk and playing some Fable the rest of the time.

Saturday - Probably do some more laundry in the AM and than I'm going with my friend Matt to try out some baritones and 7-strings for his new band.

Sunday - HALLOWEEN!!!!! Watch some scary movies while I change guitar strings :embarrassed: and later I'm going with Matt and his wife to do an overnight paranormal investigation at Bobby Mackey's. We went there a couple of months ago for a short one, but this is 8 hours and we can investigate the entire building. If you ever watch the show Ghost Adventures, they've gone their twice.

Do Buddhists have a position on afterlife-related hauntings? Do you? Or are you just going for a larf?

Friday - well, already done at work. A bit of chilling, making dinner and then I'll spend tonight recording stuff, including some drums for Dave.
After that, probably a couple of beers to round off the night.

Saturday - band rehearsal with Breibandet (the blues/rock band where I play drums) from about noon until sometime in the evening.
Halloween party later on. Still haven't decided on whether I should try finding something that could be considered a costume, so I might end up going as myself. :embarrassed:

Sunday - another day of band rehearsal, probably followed by some relaxing and football (soccer) watching.

Hopefully I should be able to squeeze in some laundry and other chores around the apartment. :embarrassed:

Friday - Gig

Saturday - Errands, trying to fix a fence post, gig

Sunday - Church, sleep, fence post, recording......

This has probably been the worst week I've ever had at work. Glad its over. My boss notoriously wants to redesign things the day before they need to ship. He literally does it everytime. :mad:Tonight gig, I really need to make some noise. Saturday finish flashing the tin roof I put on our sunroom (advantage lok), then veg and work on recordings the rest of the weekend. Pack up a tele I sold.

I have a nice long weekend coming up. Unfortunately it will probably suck cuz I have a cold and I told the wife that we could do stuff with her friends this weekend. We've had to bail on the last 2 or 3 on their invites, plus I'm going camping with my friends next weekend, so I'm trying to be a good sport.

I'm done at noon today. Taking the wife's car in for inspection. Then who knows what.

Tomorrow - who knows what. Hopefully doing something somewhere that allows me to watch PSU/Michigan at 8:embarrassed:0.

Sunday - also who knows what.

I'm off Monday, doing - you guessed it - who knows what.

So, in general, a long weekend of being a team player and doing whatever teh wifey has planned. I figure a couple of those each year to keep the peace and then I can go pack to peeing in the sink etc.

Friday - Gig

Saturday - Soccer, then an Adoption party

Sunday - Firehouse Breakfast - Football - then Haloween Time. Lacrosse is in their too sometime

I can't speak for Buddhism as a whole, but different sects often speak of angels and demons, although a lot of that is very cultural. My personal views are that ghosts/spirits/demons/Flying Spaghetti Monsters/whatever are extreme manifestations of accumulated karma and "haunt" certain places, specifically places that already have accumulated a lot of negative (or positive) karma, but for whatever reasons the residue has decided to perpetuate the cycle of suffering and not move on.

Curious. So a variation on the trauma/energy ghost hypothesis. I was just wondering since you seem to have expressed skepticism w/r/t a lot of the metaphysical assumptions that underpins Western-style spiritualism (i.e., teh souls and their wandering about because they locked their keys in hell when they went out for a pack of ciggys).

Friday - Getting ready to punch a co-worker in the fucking face if he don't shut the fuck up, then go home and chill

Saturday - Me and PRAGES are gigging for Halloween

Sunday - Recovery

Apparently WV is the capital of annoying co-workers.

I'm going to go finish my recordingfest entry up in a little bit, practice for tomorrows gig, pick my son up from his field trip and take him to lunch and a haircut.

Saturday is work, pumpkin carving and gig

Sunday is Halloween kid stuff.

Friday: finish sanding my Fender Lead body and putting the first coat of paint on it and deciding if I need to reshape a new body I just bought off the bay. It should be arriving today.

Saturday: either cutting and sanding my new body, or staining it and then hopefully assembling them. I don't have the electronics for the new body yet. Taking the kids to the beach for a while and maybe hitting the wiffle ball or throwing the football around with my oldest.

Sunday: football, hopefully watching my skins go to 5 and 3. Then taking the kiddos trick or treating.

Friday - Exercise, Begin recording Acousticfest

Saturday - Exercise, Take son to Mark's for blues class, Blues Party and Jam - praying for no rain.

Sunday - Exercise, Watch some football, maybe take in a movie with the wife, chill, work in the yard.
