The first "oops" of the Olympic Games.

honestly though, I couldn't give a rat's ass if Canada takes gold, or any medal at all.
I'm more concerned with the Bruins winning the Stanley Cup

the Olympics are just something that's interrupted the NHL season.

well, and some hot chicks...but don't tell Tam I said that

Last time I checked Canada was 2nd in the medal statistics, behind little Norway. :embarrassed:

Might have changed the last few days though.

Hoping for Norway-Canada in the curling final. Should be awesome. :)

TJ Oshie becomes a household name.

That eagle one was painted by the former local high school principle, who also painted Picabo Street's and others' over the years. His is cool, but that Sarah Reid one is cooler.

19>17 last time I checked.

gold counts for more than silver, which counts for more than bronze.

oh wait, Holland had another clean sweep at mens speed skating today. That's another gold, silver and bronze

Now that skating is over, so is Holland....

BTW -- anybody else see the shameful Christin Cooper interview with Bode Miller (she kept asking him about his recently-dead brother until he broke down)? My wife and I were incredulous as we watched this, and it smacked of the worst sort of "got you" journalism. I was disliking NBC's shallow, jingoistic coverage before this, but now, I'm turning the sound off...

Yeah, they've been doing a lot of that and I can't stand it either. The USA has had a lot of "near misses" in terms of medalling this Olympics, and the reporters are immediately in their face asking "how you feel about missing the medal stand by .004". How the f**k do you think they feel? I'm sure they don't feel like answering stupid questions. Idiots...
