The Absolutely Scientifically Provable Best Strat Color

Peen Simmons

Let’s Get Obtuse!
Inspired by @smurfco and his new Lake Placid Blue item, I wanna know what you all know to be the best strat color.

I like LPB on teles and stangs, but it’s not my first choice for a strat.

Years ago when I was taking lessons in Chicago this guy had a Strat that was silver/blue and I can't remember what he said it was but yeah, that color.

That's a toughie. I might add a strat to my little collection one of these days, and when I look at them, I have a hard time deciding on what finish I like best.

One I really like isn't a standard strat finish, it is PRS's "Lunar Ice," which comes on the "Limited Edition" version of the Silver Sky. That SSLE is kinda pricey, and I don't imagine it will win any popularity contests here in MWGL either.

...Antigua burst is the worst.

Oh man yeah that is a wretched finish choice. Looks dated, and I can't imagine it looked good when it was a new thing, either.

The white on the blue fade guitar is my favorite. I’ve never bought a guitar based on color. Has to be a great price or better. A low ball price.

$37 Affinity black.

I really like the pastels (sonic and daphne blue, surf green, shell pink, banana pudding “white”) but I also have a soft spot for sherwood green, dakota red, and some of the golds (aztec, firemist).
