That Steve Miller ;The Joker J50

DdBob

Dogue in teh desert
Been listening to that ( the whole thing, over 2 hours) whilst I was cooking for thwe dogs, then myself , then making cookies as one is wont to do....
Anywho , I haven't listened to SM in ages other than when Maurice is on a movie or summin' but man o man o man this is a good n groovy listen! Steve comments about 6 times and you get to see the evolution of several songs plus theres some live 72 acoustic syuff beforehand. Highly recommended listening

I’ve seen him bunches of times, on his own and opening for other acts like the Dead. Some of the early psych stuff is cool.

Not psych, but classic from the same LP.

I can't say I ever listened to Steve Miller on purpose. Not that I hate his songs or anything, just that I've heard the hits a million times from radio play.

Does he have any good deep cuts?

yes, like a lot of artists back in those days there was hit and miss or rather a couple hits and some filler on the records so depending on your expectations their is deep cuts worthy of seeking out. The first few records were kinda psychedelic and he had some good more folky stuff too.

Can't listen to the Joker without hearing this song because we mash the two up together everytime we play them. :baimun:
