Even if there is a discernible difference, that doesn't mean that either one is better. On the blind tone clips, I've often thought the Squier sounded better than the Fender, etc.

This is true. Much of sound and tone is in the fingers and style. But the amp and guitar makers make a lot of money from people buying stuff to sound better instead of practicing.

So have I. I posted a pic the other day to prove it. Besides, I think that flying monkeys are actually used for the air shipment. Even if it gets there intact, it will smell of monkey poo.

True. Sadly, it isn't just State Farm. I have State Farm now, but my mom and I were talking the other day about how when lightning struck the house she and I lived in and caught it on fire, they canceled the insurance after they paid. Fortunately, I was commuting to college then and I was home to put the fire out. They should have been stoked that they just had a small coverage to pay instead of shelling out for a house that had burned to the ground. I got second and third degree burns in the process, but they wouldn't cover any of the medical expenses for it.
 
I didn't realize that Marty was playing a Roadstar II in Back to the Future, until I saw it mentioned in an eBay ad.

Mark, thanks again for the opportunity to attend NAMM. I haven't got my hotel yet. I will probably secure it next week when I get paid. I had a client not pay like he was supposed, and having to pay out of pocket for my daughters tooth injury until we settle with the insurance company have left me scraping the bottom of the barrel this month.

But on a happier note, I hope to do you proud with pictures and coverage of the event for your site.
