EG sounds like we're in the same boat weatherwise... drydocked due to the extreme heat and lack of anything else. :ack:

109 here today, and it felt like it. I swear if it rains I'm going to run around naked in it! :embarrassed:

Let me sum up the last month:

4 weeks ago: We go camping in VA when the storm that we call "the monsoon" hit. 5 inches of standing water IN THE TENT. Yeah, a waterproof tent..lol. Miserable.

3 weeks ago: THE DERECHO. So, we travel to a little B&B in the VA wine country (yes, there is one). We get there late, due to traffic as always, so check in and drive down the road to grab a quick bite. We're in there for like an hour. We come out, and it's the aftermath of the storm of the century. Giant trees down everywhere. One was completely blocking the road to get back to the B&B. We had to walk back up, then found out there was no power. It was about 100 degrees in our room both nights.

2 weeks ago: 20-mile bike race in NC. Yep, more rain. One one hand, it probably made things a little cooler. But it made riding conditions pretty scary.

Last weekend: MD boating trip planned. Rained all day, had to scrub the trip. I hate it when I have to drive to get crabs. :)
